Here We Go!

So I figure I will begin this venture with an explanation. As the kiddies grew up and no longer needed our full attention, my wonderful husband and I thought, out loud frequently, what are we going to do next? Well, the first option was to fight alot and find new hobbies on our own. Thing is, we are really best friends and losing my best friend was not an option. We dug kinda deep and realized that as 40ish parents of young men we had soooo much time to develop the future for ourselves as we wanted to see it, that we got a renewed energy and spirit. We're young and in the parenting homestretch. Great! What now? Time to tap in to the things that you really enjoy. My strengths, as my large in-law family keep reminding me, lie in the arts. Decor, cooking, design, painting, airbrushing, sewing, etc. People actually come to me to have their large and important parties at my home because they know it will surpass expectations. When I combine this, with a little extra time on my hands, and a passion for Halloween, spooky stuff and all things scary that I share with my husband, it adds up to a vast space for creativity. This is what I call The Spook Decor.
Don't worry, the me part is now over. I fancy someday someone will be saying "Oh I know why she did that!" Here's the deal. I will give you tips, tricks, projects, product reviews, recipe ideas, scary stuff, and some family love thrown in for good measure. Yeah, I like it scary, but I also am a wife, daughter, parent, and concerned citizen so I feel it is imperative to do this with a good amount of decorum. If you are looking for instructions for a sacrifice of some kind, I know there are an endless supply of them. This, however, will be the story of people who want to make an artistic impact in a genre that they are passionate about. Ok. Done. Now let's get scary!!!
